40 Free Chances to Win up to £100,000 – by Sending 1 Email!

Win up to £100k with Southside Print London Bridge

This is a VERY exciting Southside Print announcement! We’re giving existing customers on our emailing list up to FORTY chances of winning up to £100,000 during this month. It’s simple to enter — essentially, all that’s required is ONE email from you to us (see the full details below). No purchase is necessary and there is no catch!

How to enter

  1. Add our sales@southsideprintse1.london email address to your email address book and remove the old sales address, which is being retired;
  2. In a similar way, make sure you have updated any of our old pre-March 2017 email addresses in your address book or contact records (so, for example, update alan@ matt@, aidan@, sales@ and linda@). The old email addresses will stop working soon, hence asking you to update them all.
  3. Then, to enter the prize draw and get up to forty chances of winning, simply send an email to the new sales@southsideprintse1.london email address, with the following subject line:
    I have added sales@southsideprintse1.london to my address book
    Please also type your name, company name and address in the message body so we can recognise you more easily as an existing customer and know where to send the scratch cards should you win them.

“It takes just a minute and, assuming you do it straight away, you’ll then have FORTY chances to win a potentially massive amount of money — totally free!”

How it works

Get your lucky scratch cardsOnce we have received your entry email, you’ll automatically be entered into up to four prize draws which will happen during August. Once a week during this month, we’ll choose one respondent at random and they will win 10 £1 scratch cards, any of which might potentially win the customer up to £100,000 if they’re lucky! So, if you enter right away, you have 40 chances of getting a winning scratch card! When you think about it, it’s an amazing opportunity!

“So don’t delay, update your address book right now and send us that email — it would be crazy not to!”

It’s also worth noting that our emailing list only includes a few hundred people, rather than thousands, so your chances of getting your hands on those scratch cards are already pretty good. It’s safe to assume that not everyone will respond too, so your chances of success are even better!

Why are we doing it? What’s the catch?

There is no catch. Having recently re-branded under the Southside Print banner, we are retiring our old email addresses so they will stop working very soon. As background, back in April, we took the decision to leave the previous printing group that we belonged to and re-branded as Southside Print so that we could be more independent and free to do our own thing. With the old email addresses being retired very soon, we are keen for all existing customers to have the correct new email addresses on file.

“So, what are you waiting for?”

You have forty chances of winning up to £100,000 for free if you act fast — it’ll only take a minute! Please follow steps 1, 2 and 3 above — right now if you can, before you forget and potentially miss out on this incredible chance. Any one of those scratch cards might be a winning one! Read more

New, High Quality Printing Facilities in SE1

New printing equipment at Southside Print SE1

Southside Print recently took delivery of some fantastic new printing and finishing equipment. What does this mean for customers? Higher quality, faster printing and production at highly competitive prices!

Xerox Versant 2100 digital press

Firstly, the star of our new line-up is the award-winning Xerox Versant 2100 digital press. This machine takes colour digital printing to a whole new level.

The Versant press accepts a wider range of media, is faster and benefits from more automation than our existing presses. Printed results are hard to tell apart from litho quality (the benchmark by which all printing is judged), particularly when used with the new low-gloss ‘dry ink’ that’s supported by this printing press. Tones and graduations are super-smooth and there is an amazing depth of colour on the printed output from this machine. The resolution could be described as ‘Ultra HD’, being capable of a staggering 2,400 dots per inch x 2,400 dpi maximum output. So all in all, printed results look superb, thin fonts and fine detail render perfectly and photographs really look their very best.

Xerox Versant 2100 colour printing pressThe Versant 2100 is an automated sheet fed press and can print on paper media from a thin 52gsm weight to a substantial 350gsm card weight, so is great whether you need the thinnest of inexpensive flyers or robust business cards, post cards and ultra-thick, posh covers for your brochure or annual report. It’s also very adept with a variety of media types including coated and uncoated papers and boards, labels and even some polyester media for some specialist types of printing work.

The digital printing press can print double-sided automatically, in one pass, which speeds up production significantly. Speed is impressive with a 100 pages per minute being possible for A4 and up to 52 ppm for A3.

Other features of our new printing press include the ability to collate copies, staple in-line and accept variable data (great for personalised mailings). The machine also offers the option of ‘stochastic’ screening which means it can print in a minute random dot formation, making the dots virtually invisible to the naked eye, almost like a continuous tone photographic print.

When it comes to media sizes, the machine typically prints on SRA3 (oversize A3 at 450mm x 320mm) although can print on media as wide as 330mm and as long as 630mm if needed. So, if you need a 6 page A4 ‘roll fold’ brochure, this machine will find it a breeze. With the larger paper sizes being supported by this machine, small banners are also possible although we also have a new machine for even larger format printing, being an HP Z6200. We’ll write a separate post about that machine as it’s all about larger format printing for things like posters for use indoors and out. Just for a taster, though, it can print over a metre wide by almost any length! (We should add that we have additional services available for media wider than a metre, of course). More is to follow later about all of that, here on the Southside Print Blog.

Matrix Morgana Major Folding machineMorgana Major folding & perforating machine

Next up in our new line-up is a Morgana Major folding and perforating machine. It’s quick and easy to use and “does exactly what it says on the tin” i.e. folds and perforates beautifully and accurately (accurate to a tenth of a millimetre). However, it also scores and can incorporate counting and batching if required. What’s more it can handle paper up to 365mm x 674mm so, like the Versant above, is more than capable of dealing with 6-page A4 ‘roll fold’ brochures. Speed is impressive measuring anywhere from 4,500 to 27,500 sheets per hour, the speed being controllable by the operator using it.

Printed Business Cards, Flyers & Brochures for Gembuild

Printed brochures for Gembuild

A garden buildings company, based in West Sussex, has recently been keeping us busy here at Southside Print in London Bridge. Gembuild, who design and install custom garden buildings throughout the UK, were recently referred to Southside Print for printing and production of their sales and marketing material. These included business cards, various flyers and a new brochure.

Full colour, matt laminated business cardsThe Printing

The business cards, shown on the right, were litho printed in full colour and then matt laminated both sides.

The two different flyers (not shown) were digitally printed on 170gsm white A4 ‘Essential Silk’ stock before being folded in half to A5 size.

A new 32 page A5 landscape brochure is also hot off the press. This was digitally printed in full colour throughout, matt laminated to the cover and saddle-stitched to the spine.

Full colour digitally printed brochures with matt laminated coversThere are a couple of notable aspects to this particular batch of printing — firstly, all lamination was produced in-house using our brand new ‘Matrix’ thermal laminator. This new piece of kit is the No.1 commercial laminator in Europe and allows us to laminate in matt, ‘soft touch’ or gloss finish, totally in-house. What this means for customers is that our lamination will be much faster and better value for them compared to the old days when, like nearly all printers, we sub-contracted all lamination to specialist trade finishing suppliers.

The second notable aspect to much of the printing above is that it uses a digital printing process, which lends itself to ‘print on demand’ as it’s known. Because our digital printing process requires no printing plates, set-up is quick, easy and inexpensive. This means that printing can be ordered when actually needed (true ‘print on demand’) rather than having to order and store large quantities like you might have to for litho printed items — just to keep the unit cost down. So, low quantities are possible, at the press of a button, as and when needed.

Digital Printing for Tic Toc Nursery School

Digital printing for Tic Toc NurseryThis month, we feature Tic Toc Nursery School, a business that is located in Twickenham, Middlesex, so is a little further away than businesses and organisations usually featured on the blog. We welcome such work, though, as we can dispatch printing by overnight courier to virtually any part of the UK.

Digital printing of leaflets

Tic Toc Nursery School came to us recently, through a recommendation. We have been busy printing a set of 3000 leaflets for them and these are A5 in size, double-sided, and digitally printed in full colour onto 170gsm silk stock. Such a finish and the paper weight itself give the leaflets a feel of quality as they’re reasonably thick with a much nicer look and feel compared to the thinner, cheaper materials available elsewhere on the printing market. The medium quantity and small sheet size of this job were a perfect fit for our digital printer which, through using its plateless process, also allows for a faster turnaround than would have been achieved using our litho printing presses.

About Tic Toc Nursery School

montageTic Toc Nursery School takes care of babies, from 3 months of age, to children aged 5, offering half and full day sessions Monday to Friday, public holidays excepted. Tic Toc has been serving Twickenham and the surrounding areas as a nursery for over 25 years and has recently changed ownership. Already, improvements are being seen including the renovation of the garden, which now has new gravel, a sand pit and a mud kitchen for the toddlers to explore. They can also enjoy the vegetable patch and an outdoor play area is under development for babies. New arrivals to the garden also come in the form of chickens and rabbits, which now call Tic Toc Nursery School their home!

As well as being a fun place for toddlers to be, Tic Toc aims to Read more

Litho Printing for ‘28°-50°’ & ‘Texture’ Restaurants

Printing & design for 28°-50° Wine Workshop & KitchenSouthside Print London Bridge has recently been busy producing printing for the 3 branches of 28°-50° Wine Workshop & Kitchen as well as for their sister restaurant Texture. Litho printing was the process which was mostly used and work produced included business cards, leaflets, brochures, branded alcohol and dessert sheets, paper wine mats and even spot-printed greaseproof paper, which is quite a specialist process.

  • The business cards were litho printed both sides in 2 spot colours onto beautifully textured ‘Oyster’ coloured Conqueror Contour 300gsm card. Artwork was supplied by Southside Print London Bridge;
  • The lovely concertina leaflets – which were like mini brochures – were printed in full colour onto a 250gsm silk stock and again artwork was produced by Southside Print;
  • The alcohol and dessert sheets were litho printed on 190gsm Offset stock, printed in two spot colours;
  • Wine sheets were also litho printed in 2 spot colours, this time onto a ‘Papago Steel Grey’ 80gsm paper stock;
  • The greaseproof paper was litho printed in 1 spot colour.

Our sincere thanks go to all the restaurant staff involved and we’re really looking forward to paying a visit in the near future.
